Adventure Place Profile

Adventure Place  works with families and other caregivers to strengthen children’s emotional, and behavioral development. They support how children adapt to their environment.

 

The organization puts the uniqueness of children and families into consideration and provides a wide range of services based on individual needs which might range from treatment to drop-in programs.

 

Their approach is coordinated and integrated recognizing that early intervention, prevention, and treatment are important.

Mission: Adventure Place changes the lives of children and their families by working together with parents and partners to implement different integrated services that contribute to healthy child development and inclusion in the community.

 

Their goals are:

To lessen the impact of difficulties and special needs.

To assist children in achieving their potential by building on their strengths and self-esteem.

To increase parental knowledge, competence, and confidence.

To decrease the stress families face

To decrease the risk of longer term or more complex difficulties.
